Welcome to our largest Japanese and Chinese collection to
date, put together to coincide with 'Asian Art in London'
week. We hope you find something new to add to your
collection. This year our two favourites are catalogue
numbers 10 and 76.

Portrait (pictured left). Canton. 19th century.
10" x 7 1/2" - 25cm x 19cm

A very well painted gouache portrait on pith paper,
depicting the Hong merchant Houqua. (Wu Bingjian. 1789-
1843). It was believed at the time, that Houqua was the
richest man in China.
