A very rare yellow satin brocade Tibetan Chuba made from the yardage of an Emperor's Chaopao. The front-opening chuba tailored in Tibet from early 18th century imperial yellow silk brocade used for an Imperial chaopao and woven in gold and multicolour threads with a quadrilobed 'collar' enclosing four full-face five-clawed gold dragons leaping around a flaming pearl amidst clouds above wind-tossed waves.
