An unusual and well embroidered composition of a giant pine tree with lush green foliage, showing pairs of exotic finches shown on a ground of different hues including mauve and turquoise. We believe this unusual piece to have either been commissioned from Japan or worked by an American hand possibly for a large early 20th century arts and crafts Pasadena mansion.
