Kimono Chest

A black and gold lacquered wood miniature kimono chest and cover, with numerous gilt copper mounts and handles decorated with two different family mon (one of them Shinoi clan) among chrysanthemums and foliage.

Provenance: Collection of Cyrus and Georgina Dickson. Philadelphia PA. with original invoice from purchase in Japan. Possible use for storing scroll paintings.
