Quill Trimmer

A slight conundrum! This stylishly silver mounted, horn handled knife with double ended fixed blades is thought to be a quill trimmer. Marked sterling with pseudo American hallmarks, and an original fitted box stamped with the name of the famous jewellers C.D Peacock, Chicago.
