A Chinese export bamboo chair of the so-called Brighton Pavilion type. Trapezoidal in shape, the seat is wider at the front than the back with a solid seat and rectangular upright back with a curved top filled with horizontal and vertical panels of decoration, a design continued in the arms and below the seat rail.
