A rounded rectangular two-part gilt bronze buckle with release button decorated and pierced to the sides with bats amongst clouds. The underside has incised lotus tendrils, and inset jade stone of yellowish green hue, carved in low relief with entwined plants. Provenance: Private American Collection.
